  Richard's Notes 



My first impression as I drove close to the Gated Entrance was "WOW" (Four stone columns flank each side of the Wrought Iron Gates. The Columns in turn are joined by Wrought Iron Fence.)  Especially when the whole frontage was "forested" by a curtain of majestic trees in gentle breeze with shimmering rays of the sun shining through like sparkling diamonds in waves of green.

The wide stream just beyond the Gates and some 400' of paved road draped by more towering trees promised something special.  It was like unwrapping a gift, the heart pounded with anticipation.

I was not disappointed. Not knowing the Taylors' lifestyle, the recurring question in my mind as I toured the residence was "Does anyone live here"?  The place is immaculate - even with the sand coloured carpets.  Elegant appointments - the beveled glass French Doors just glistens!, quality workmanship ..... the 2,000 sq.ft. of Vermont Slate Patio enveloping the Pool and the Hot Tub is just incredible,  the Pool Equipment "Shed" has ceramic floors!, and the view of the green space is simply breathe taking.  This view is amplified in the Master Sanctum Sanctorum Wing of the residence - from the Master Bedroom Windows, Master Ensuite Sitting Room and Balcony, and the Master 5 Piece Ensuite Spa from the Bay Window above the 6 Jet Whirlpool Bath.  And the Master Walk-in?  Carpeted, at 319 sq.ft., this is the size of a Condo in TO!  It has two "Centre Islands" with built-in Drawers and a Vanity Corner.  Here's a peek....

Simple Elegance is how I would describe it ... even with the thick granite counters, marble and gleaming hardwood floors (apparently diamond tough!)  How many garages do you know that has beveled glass French doors!  That must have been quite the feat lugging the tons of Slate from Vermont to form the 2,000 sq.ft. patio!  I have never seen the weight of the wooden planks used for the balconies...solid.

The calming effect of the residence makes it more of a "retreat" than a home!
