Lakeport is one of Northumberland sleepy little hamlet - although there is a Bentley sighted zipping around in the area's open roads from time-to-time; it is a bedroom community and just a stone's throw away from Shopping in Port Hope, Cobourg, Marina, Golf Courses and Riding Facilities.  It is around 40 Minutes from Scarborough or an hour from the Yonge Junction on the HWY 401.  Just east of Northumberland Spa Country in the Grafton area, one has the benefit of easy access without the Toronto traffic.  With Northumberland real estate's rapid ascension in value, and diminishing waterfront and waterview spaces, Lakeport will undoubtedly benefit incrementally in the not so distant future.  For a flavour of the immediate neighbouring community, Grafton, here are some links:
